2018

Emerging opportunities & challenges in Open Access in the Power Sector in Uttar Pradesh for Discoms and Power Consumers, Lucknow (10th May, 2018): The conference is an initiative to promote open access by reducing cross subsidy charges which will likely optimise power procurement cost for industry, increase the attractiveness of the state for new investments across manufacturing and service sectors, promote the government’s objective to “Make in India” and provide a fillip to employment generation.

Punjab & Haryana Power Conclave, Chandigarh (19th July, 2017): Powering Punjab & Haryana focused on lowering power costs for distribution licensees and consumers through competition and efficiency in power procurement, integration of new technology and clean energy.


East & North East India Power Conclave, Kolkata (26th May, 2017): Empowering the consumer explored market vs re-regulation, reinventing Open Access, coal for power, clean energy, energy efficiency and group captive model, among other topics.


Revival of Hydro Power Sector, New Delhi (16th May, 2017): Roundtable discussions on the proposal for EFC consideration for revival of hydro power sector and compilation of recommendations emanating from the discussions for submission to the Ministry of Power.


Tamil Nadu Power Conclave, Chennai (19th April, 2017): Empowering the consumer – Re-inventing Open Access focused on affordability of power, consumer choice, group captive power and clean energy.


2016:

Challenges in implementation of Open Access for power consumers in Maharashtra, Mumbai (19th October 2016): An event where the Open Access Power Consumers’ Forum gathered to discuss how to exercise their choice of buying power from suppliers they wish to access as they are entitled un Electricity Act 2003, regulations, policy and practical difficulties they experience and possible solutions.


2015:

Powering East & North East India, Kolkata (16th December, 2015): A conference focussing on the potential for fresh investments, fuel issues, reform, smart grid and renewable energy


Powering Telangana, Hyderabad (18th November, 2015): An event focused on attracting investments for the development of the power sector in Telangana.


Powering Andhra, Hyderabad (25th April, 2015): Reliable and affordable 24x7 power for all focused on attracting investments for the development of the power sector in Andhra Pradesh.

Conoerence on consumer issues in the power sector in Gujarat, Ahmedabad (30th November 2011): An event provided a platform for power consumers to interact with regulators, government agencies, and other important stakeholders in Gujarat.

2018:

Drone Acharya 2018, New Delhi (3rd May, 2018): The event explored the potential of Indian Unmanned Systems market; deliberate upon regulatory developments and policy reforms; and the various applications of the technology.


2017:

5th Secure BFSI Conclave, Mumbai (12th May, 2017): The event explored the latest cyber threats and attacks to financial institutions, mobile banking applications and financial call centres through hacking that leads to theft of personal information, abuse of ATMs and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, ransomware attacks, unauthorised access to bank servers, phishing/vishing, etc. and how to ensure effective management of such threats.


2016:

Securing India 2016, New Delhi (3rd – 4th October, 2016): Roadway to a Secure India - Smart Borders, Smart Policing, and Smart Security explored the entire spectrum of Indian internal security sector, discussed topics given by security professionals and law enforcement agencies and addressed new ways of managing security threats.


4th Secure BSFI Conclave, Mumbai (17th May, 2016): The event focussed on “Mobile Payments and Cyber Security” and also discussed mobile financial services of the future, retail banking digitalisation, contactless payments, future of self-service banking, next generation payments, mobile commerce and innovation, authentication and biometrics, etc.


Water management for smart cities, Mumbai (17th February, 2016): The discussion focussed on the integral part that the water cycle – water resource, production, distribution, consumption, collection and treatment of waste water has in the urban system and the challenges to develop a smart approach to deliver robust and efficient urban water infrastructure and services.


Water management for smart cities, New Delhi (15th February, 2016): Challenges and best practices for managing water in smart cities focussed on the integral part that the water cycle – water resource, production, distribution, consumption, collection and treatment of waste water has in the urban system and the challenges to develop a smart approach to deliver robust and efficient urban water infrastructure and services.

North East India: The Power Hub of South Asia, Shillong (5th December, 2012): A conference that discussed how to overcome challenges in the development of the power sector in North East India. The event was supported by the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India; the Govt. of Meghalaya; the Regulatory Commissions of Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh; and the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the States of Manipur and Mizoram.


Powering North Eastern India: Attracting Investments for Development of the Power Sector, Guwahati (15th December, 2011): A conference that discussed on ways to attract investments to North East India for the development of power – hydro, solar, biomass,


MIZORAM


Smart Water Solutions, Aizawl (9th May, 2018): Eternity Partners, in association with the Department of Public Health Engineering (PHED) organised the event and explored the initiatives and visions of the government for Mizoram about the various issues and challenges in water supply that consumers in Mizoram faced, and how to address them. A new android mobile app called, “e-water”, an initiative of the PHED under NEDP was also launched in the conference by by Hon’ble Minister, Pu Zodintluanga.


Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES), Aizawl (4th – 5th December, 2017): The summit, organised by EP, in association with Mizoram State Child Protection Society, explored the business and entrepreneurship opportunities available to the youth in Mizoram.


Winter Festival, Tuirial (23rd – 25th November, 2017): EP provided publicity and marketing services to Mizoram Tourism Department for their Winter Festival 2017.


Day-NULM Mela, Aizawl (22nd – 24th November, 2017): EP provided event management and marketing services to the Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation Department in their Mela to support self-help groups.


Round table on Smart Solutions for a Smart City, Aizawl (18th December, 2015): A round table discussion organised by EP with Mizoram government minister and officials and leaders of the Smart Cities initiative from the Centre discussing the opportunities and technologies that can be implemented for the Smart City initiative in Mizoram.


Off-grid Renewable Energy Access Projects in Mizoram, Aizawl (10th November, 2014): An event, organised by EP, in association with Zoram Energy Development Agency (ZEDA) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, to promote greater awareness and discussions among stakeholders to the challenges and possible solutions for achieving efficient and regular Power supply in Mizoram.

The event also included a competition on ‘Posters & Devices/ Models on Renewable Energy’ for various schools.


Empowering North East India 2013. De-centralised Distributed Generation – Latest Developments and Policy Initiatives, Aizawl (24th October, 2013): A workshop, organised by EP, explored the feasibility of generating power from biomass sources in Mizoram.


Social and Economic Development on the Utilization of Forest and Agricultural Waste, Aizawl (September 2013): A workshop, organized by EP, with Village Council Members of various villages in Mizoram to discuss the fuel linkages for biomass power plants in Mizoram.


Felicitation Ceremony of Olympian Mary Kom, Aizawl (October 2012): Olympian Mary Kom was felicitated in a ceremony held by EP where she, with other various athletes and sportspersons of Mizoram were given certificates, gifts and prize money in recognition of their achievements.
